Policing Pledge, our promise to you.

Bolton Police

Over the years the police have been judged and measured on their performance in many ways. Now the Government has introduced a new measure. It is the measure of confidence that local people have in policing, and their belief in whether they feel that local police and other agencies are dealing with the problems that really concern them.

The policing pledge will be a promise between Bolton Police and the public
about how they engage with the public, strengthen relationships and encourage people to report crime. It will not be undertaken in isolation but as part of the wider strategy to deliver a high-quality public service and improve public confidence  and will support the focus on Neighbourhood Policing and highlight its achievements

Bolton Police is committed to improving public confidence through Neighbourhood Policing and is also fully committed to meeting the Policing Pledge, as both are fundamental elements in increasing public confidence.

To this end over the coming months, the police in Bolton will be working towards delivering the Policing Pledge, giving people a clear minimum standard of service they can expect from their local police.

Bolton Police will be asking for your input to influence the policing of your neighbourhoods, to ensure our service is focussed on the needs of local communities, addressing the issues that matter most to people in Bolton.
